the border of the gilded silver oklad chased with scrolling foliage, with roundels enclosing Christ and the Mother of God, the Holy Figures' robes and the clouds finely chased and repoussé, the halo enameled with colorful foliage, the spandrels decorated with scrolling and floral ornament in brightly-colored enamels, the nameplate and Gospels in champlevé enamel

Condition

the surface of the icon with some damage from the back of the icon and with added wood panel to accommodate the oklad, the icon would also benefit from a professional cleaning
