circular, the cavetto decorated with a putto riding a dolphin painted en grisaille on a green ground within a hexagonal frame, the border with three green roundels and six panels finely painted with views of Italy and hunting scenes within gilt borders with raised beading, gilt rim and foot, with gilt Imperial cipher for Alexander III and dated 1894
