Description

  • Silver, enamel
  • diameter: 10.2cm, 4in.
circular with translucent green enamel borders, set with a commemorative medal cut to one side with a profile portrait of Alexander II and inscribed 'Emperor Alexander II Sovereign Ruler of All Russia' and his dates, to the other with a view of his tomb and inscribed 'Blessed be His Name From Here To Eternity', struck with workmaster's initials, 88 standard, scratched inventory number 14565

Condition

There is an area of restoration to the enamel at 12 o'clock, approx. 1.5cm at widest point. The silver with minor surface nicks and scratches. The underside of the medallion remains very crisp, the face with minor wear. Please note: there is a scratched inventory number: 14565.
