Description

  • Silver, bowenite
  • height: 12.3cm, 4 7/8 in.
in neoclassical taste, the turned bowenite well on tripod support cast and chased with entrelac, rosettes, acanthus and hoof feet, the lid and base with gadrooned borders, fir cone finial, the interior rim with later inscription in Russian 'To V. N. Korchinskii/ Church Council of Simeon Stolpnik's Church' and dated 12 April 1925, struck with workmaster's initials and Fabergé in Cyrillic beside the Imperial Warrant, 88 standard, scratched inventory number 9938

Condition

Very good condition. The stone with only tiny nicks at the edges. The silver with minor nicks and scratches consistent with age.
