after a design by Lydia Vychegzhanina-Chekhonina, the cavetto depicting a clown in a colourful costume, the border painted with black, purple and orange bands, with blue manufactory mark dated 1922 and green Imperial cipher for Nicholas II dated 1897, reverse inscribed in Cyrillic with 'after the drawing of L.V. executed by N.B.'
