the guards and sticks of burl maple, applied with a turquoise flower with rose-cut diamond-set stem, the silk leaf painted with irises, convolvulus and a dragonfly and signed with initials KN (Cyrillic), gold loop, struck with partial maker's mark, possibly SB or SG (Cyrillic), 56 standard

Christie's South Kensington, 7 December 1999, lot 22, sold with a box, now lost, inscribed 'for Princess Henry', presumably Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester (1901-2004)
