Description

  • Silver, enamel
  • length: 36cm, 14 1/8 in.
the wide oval bowl cast with lobes decorated with shaded polychrome flowers on blue and cream grounds flanking an Imperial eagle at each side, within further foliage on stippled grounds, the elaborate scroll handle engraved in Russian 'from F. V. Tatarnikov', the interior base engraved with Roman numeral LX, Cyrillic initials VK, and dates 1841-1901, 88 standard 

Condition

There is a small area of damage to the enamel to the scrolling foliage to the left of the handle, otherwise a very fine piece in good overall condition.
