Catalogue Note

For the last decade, the Moscow-based artist Annouchka Brochet has been working on the theme of the exploitation of the female face in advertising and the possibilities of female portraiture. Vulnerability refers to woman's position in the contemporary world, where she is expected to be a constant victim of the demand for perfect beauty.
