one signed in Latin, dated 1949 and inscribed Bruxelles l.r., the other signed in Latin and dated 1954 m.r.
- both gouache over pencil on paper with gold paint
- image sizes: 25.3 by 16.8cm, 10 by 6 1/2 in.
Condition
Dancers: the sheet appears sound. There are a few minor spots of staining to the lower edge of the work and several very small nicks in places e.g. the abdomen of the foremost dancer. Otherwise the work is in good overall condition, the colours are fresh and the picture is ready to frame. Held in a painted wooden frame and under glass. Unexamined out of frame.
The Bazaar: the sheet appears sound, however there are spots of foxing scattered throughout, especially visible on the white pigment, as can be seen in the catalogue photograph. Held in a gold painted wooden frame and under glass. Unexamined out of frame.
