Condition

Landscape with church: the board appears sound with some light surface dirt. UV light reveals two spot of restoration to the sky and a further two spots of restoration above the begining of the signature. Landscape with dark sky: the board appears sound but the paint surface is dirty with a layer of discoloured vanish. There are patches of paint shrinkage and craquelure throughout with some associated paint loss. e.g in the lower left hand quadrant. UV light reveals sweeping retouching to the sky and further small areas of retouching to the ground right of centre. Held in matching bronze coloured elaborate wooden frames.
