Condition

Original canvas with a light layer of surface dirt. There is evidence of paint shrinkage in places, mainly to the sea and the impasto in the sky. The varnish has slightly discoloured. There is minor scattered retouching throughout, with some lines of retouching to the edges. Held in a bronze painted frame. Unexamined out of frame.
