Condition
Original canvas. There are lines of craquelure throughout and a layer of light surface dirt. There is evidence of minor paint shrinkage in places, otherwise the painting is clean and ready to hang. UV light reveals infilling to the craquelure in places throughout, mainly to the lower right corner and elsewhere in the background. The main figure has some minor infilling to the craquelure and retouching to the left of the head. Held in a very ornate gold plaster frame decorated with wreaths. Unexamined out of frame.
