Condition

Oil on cardboard. Some pigment has been lost to the extreme upper left and upper center edge, and two pinholes are visible, one near the center right edge and one to the upper right edge. UV light reveals no retouches and the work appears to be in overall good state. Held in a modern wood frame. Unexamined out of frame.

Catalogue Note

Vladimir Stozharov made over 40 pencil sketches on the theme of the bath house. The present work is the largest known oil painting on the subject and will be sold with a certificate of authentication from the artist's son.
