carved with peonies and foliage above a band of incised stiff leaves
Condition
There is a wide firing tear on the rim - running down approx 2 inches into the neck. It was glazed over in the firing, and then later filled with a brownish substance, and then filled with gilt lacquer, some of which has now flaked away. There are two minor shallow 1/2 inch chips to the underside edge of the foot.
