the brass-inlaid marquetry octagonal top raised on brass-inlaid legs supported by parcel-gilt and ebonized sphinxes raised on a concave-sided base supported by bun feet.

Condition
With minor age and construction cracks. Top with shrinkage, now reinforced on reverse. Refinished and now with clear varnish. Top with one small brass inlay detached, with piece present. Sphinxes with minor losses to gesso and redecorated. Feet with minor abrasions. In good, restored condition.
