Description

  • height 18 1/2 in.; width 24 in.; depth 19 1/2 in.
  • 47 cm; 61 cm; 50 cm
upholstered à châssis in brown embroidered leather, the shaped rectangular seat above a rail carved with acanthus and flowers, raised on legs carved with cabochons at the knee and terminating in feet carved with leaves.

Condition

With scattered age and construction cracks. Restored breaks to rail: one break on one side now reinforced on reverse, another small break -or possibly large crack- on one end by leg; now restored with minor small amount of later gesso. Scattered cracks and small losses to gesso. Minor old worm damage to frame. Regilt, gilding now with some rubbing, losses and surface dirt. Leather upholstered seat later. In good condiion.
