the tassled rectangular seats covered in red velvet embroidered with polychrome silk and metal thread and decorated with metal thread galloon, the cruciform frame with rocaille and acanthus-carved legs terminating in scrolled feet.

With scattered age and construciton cracks. Abrasions and minor chips to carving. One with small, 1cm by 1cm, loss to wood at joint, only visisble from underside. A few scattered small restored similar chips, most to joints and carving; not extensive. Stretchers of base with later metal reinforcements. Redecorated, paint now with some rubbing and surface dirt. Minor scattered worm damage; not extensive. In good condition.
