A pair of Louis XVI ormolu and patinated bronze four-light candelabra circa 1785

one with a patinated bronze figure of a male youth, the other with that of a maiden, each holding paintated bronze urns mounted with ormolu ribbon-tied foliage, surmounted by an ormolu figure of an eagle and issuing ormolu candlearms cast with acanthus and dolphins and terminating in satyr masks at one end and in nozzles cast with leaves, meanders and palmettes at the other, raised on patinated bronze socles on octagonal ormolu bases.

Patinated bronze figures with some rubbing and surface dirt, urns with more extensive rubbing. Ormolu also with some rubbing; most to ormolu tops of patinated bronze socles and to octagonal bases, traces of oxidation and surface dirt. Candelabra with male figure with break to one candle arms; previously restored with the restored area now seperated. Restored area with refreshed gilding. In good overall condition.
