Description
two engraved with Imperial cypher of Nicholas II, one dated 1915, the other dated 1916, the rest apparently unmarked

- heights 6 1/8 in. and 6 1/2 in.
- 15.5 cm and 16.5 cm
in the eighteenth-century style with faceted baluster stems, spreading feet, the faceted bowls engraved and gilded with the Imperial monograms of Nicholas II and Alexandra Fedorovna opposite the black, double-headed Imperial eagle.
Condition
some small losses to gilding and cold painting of eagles, otherwise in overall good condition

This large service of 1,050 pieces in total was commissioned from the Imperial Glassworks for the celebrations of the Tercentenary of the Romanov Dynasty in 1913, although as the offered lot demonstrates, pieces continued to be made even during World War I.
