Catalogue Note
The arms are those of Counts Potocki of Poland, probably for Francis-Stanslas-Joseph Potocki (1788-1853), son fo the proprietor of the Brody Estate. President of the Heraldic Department of the Kingdom of Poland, he appeared on an 1824 list of persons authorized to bear the title of Count in Poland, but also received the same title from Czar Nicolas I in 1838.
