the stepped, scalloped conical base supporting a gradually flaring cup, the cover surmounted by an urn-form finial, the whole decorated with narrow vertical gadrooning interspersed with horizontal bands.
Condition
Foot with some age cracks. Small portion reglued. Large vertical crack through body. Some components possibly modified. Metal ring inserted for stabilization above foot on underside of body segment, only visible when disassembled. Added ivory ring at upper rim for stabilization. The lid with hairline cracks. Approximately 1 1/4 inch section of lower rim of lid reglued. Otherwise general minor age cracks, abrasions, small losses, residue, and discoloration.
