with stepped octagonal base below scalloped baluster-form stem with flaring rings rising to a section of inverted pierced foliate openwork below a flaring stepped octolobed gadrooned cup with four registers punctuated by narrow moulded bands.

Condition
Vertical crack to one lobe on top register of gadrooning, extending slightly below. Triangular section of approximately one inch near rim appears to be an inherent inclusion in the ivory but may be a very well done restoration. Some minor hairline age cracks. Several points of heart-shaped openwork are replaced and one is lacking. One small repair to leaf tip. Otherwise general minor surface abrasions, chipping, and slight discoloration. Foot probably associated.
