An elegant Cosway binding by Rivière & Son, with a fine and unusually large miniature painting on ivory by Miss Currie. Crushed red morocco, the front cover inset with portrait miniature (4 7/8 x 3 7/8 in.; 125 x 98 mm) of Isabella, Infanta of Spain, within an elaborately gilt-tooled floral frame incorporating a gilt-lettered caption; the rear cover gilt with border of fillets and dotted line and tooled cornerpieces; the spine similarly gilt in six compartments; board edges with double gilt rule; turn-ins gilt panelled, signed by the binder at the foot of front turn-in, green moiré silk linings, foot of rear lining gilt-stamped "Miniatures by C. B. Currie," gilt edges. Green morocco solander box gilt.
