Catalogue Note
A magnificent Cosway binding by Rivière & Son, with 10 fan-shaped miniatures (5 on each cover), painted in watercolor on ivory behind glass by C. B. Currie. Blue crushed morocco, red morocco inlays in the form of ribbons with gilt lines, tan morocco inlays forming the top edges and handles of the fans gilt-tooled with floral sprays, all on a dense field of gilt-stamped dotted circles and dots, russet watered-silk doublures and endleaves, in a brown morocco solander case.
