Edge-wear in silk endleaf, some marginal spotting and soiling, half-inch tear in upper joint near head of spine.

Catalogue Note
A superb Cosway binding with 16 circular or oval miniature portraits or domestic scenes after Morland set in the covers, probably the work of C. B. Currie. Green levant morocco, double-fillet border surrounding a dense field of leafy sprays, an urn and an artist's palette, gilt-ruled dentelles, olive watered-silk doublures and endleaves, by Rivière & Son after designs by J.H. Stonehouse, in an old red-morocco solander case.
