Description

  • Porcelain
of barrel shape, the body carved with four lotus flower roundels reserved on a diaper ground, the seat carved with overlapping petals on the side and a lotus flower roundel on the top, covered overall with an even olive-green glaze.

Condition

There is a T-shaped hairline crack on the body, the horizontal line is one inch from the top that runs for 8 in. and the vertical hairline crack runs towards the base for 14 in. There is overall discolored craquelure and cracking on the upper portion of the body on the interior and exterior. There is a 7 1/2 in. horizontal hairline crack above the foot. The glaze on the top has slightly worn. There is a chip on the raised rim edge of the seat.
