Condition

Pile generally near original closely sheared 1/10 inch with minor areas low to knotheads due to horizontal and vertical tension lines. A few warp ties peeking through. Scattered spot stains and two surface stains (possibly paint) in lower left corner and border, approximately 1 inch and 1/2 inch in diameter. Sides with original selvages and small areas of later overcasting---thus secured. Original 1/4 inch kilim then warp fringes at each end with losses to fringes, so fringes now uneven. Cloth band sewn to reverse of each end. Extremely supple handkerchief-like handle, very good overall condition.
