Asparagus & artichokes: This canvas is unlined. The picture surface is in generally good condition, with a heavy varnish and some likely intentional craquelure. Under UV, there are no apparent signs of inpainting. Pear & mushrooms: The canvas is unlined. The surface of the picture is in generally good condition, aside from some heavy craquelure that is probably intentional. Under UV, there is evidence that some of the craquelure has been filled in and the edges have been inpainted, especially along the top and left edges. Fennel: The canvas is unlined and slightly slack in the frame, with slight bumps at the top corners. The surface of the picture is in generally good condition. Under UV light, the varnish appears uneven. Oranges & nuts: The canvas is unlined. The surface of the picture is in generally good condition, aside from some craquelure, which was probably intended by the artist. Under UV light, there is evidence that the craquelure has been filled in.
