the circular base of the contrefait rising to a gently bulging stem supporting a scalloped horizontal disc below a baluster form support beneath a pierced sphere containing two smaller internally-turned spheres, the whole surmounted by a narrow openwork finial; the five containers comprising: a sliding cylindrical two-part container with rounded ends; a four-compartment cylindrical stacked container with circular lid, the components threaded; a banded barrel-form two-compartment container with circular lid, the components threaded; a small oval cosmetics container with moulded lid; and a cylindrical ivory container.  6 pieces.

Open age crack on domed foot and some other smaller age cracks. Multiple areas of restoration to stem including just below sphere. Surface abrasions and multiple restorations to concentric spheres, some glued in place.
