the yoke crest rail above a solid baluster splat, issuing from a horseshoe-shaped armrest with solid baluster splats interspersed by turned columnar supports above a compass seat with contemporary gros- and petit-point needlework drop-in cushion, above a scalloped apron on block-and-turned legs, a cabriole leg terminating in a pad foot at front.
Condition
Overall good restored condition, with a polished surface and sun fading to mahogany. The contemporary Needlework in fair condition, stable, with fading to colors, and with minor losses and repairs. With a metal collar approximately 6 inches in high painted brown to support the leg. Overall with minor scratches, scuffs and bruises consistent with use. Chair is sturdy.
