Condition

Overall in very good condition. The five panels continuously decorated with harbor scene of fishing boats surrounded by a mountain range, with a gold lacquer Japanese maple tree in the foreground. The reverse of each panel in black lacquer. Scattered minor nicks and scratches to lacquered surfaces. Approximately 5-6 losses to lacquer on panel edges. Nicks, dents and scratches to moulded wood paneling of base consistent with age and use. The reverse of one panel with a scratch approximately 14 inches in length and an area of concentrated scratches approximately 4 inches in diameter, these scratches show white paint residue.
