Description
decorated with flowerheads, vases and birds perched on branches. Together with a large baluster jar and cover similarly decorated. 3 pieces.
Condition
one beaker vase with several frits to the interior rim, on frit to the exterior rim and some areas of wear to the iron red circular band beneath rim, a small hairline crack above, and some fritting below the waist, burst air bubbles and some minor flaking to a few of the molded lotus petals; one beaker with a few frits and some glaze flaws to the rim, an approximately 3 in. long diagonal scratch below rim, wear to the overglaze blue above waist, scattered burst air bubbles to molded lotus petals, baluster vase in overall good condition with a single firing crack to the interior beneath neck and a glaze crack on the interior running up from the base, some wear to underglaze enamel around rim and some chips and flakes to overglaze pink enamels of lotus petals, the cover with two large sections of the rim restored, a scratch to the overglaze blue along rim, minor flaking of some of the pink overglaze lotus petals, Buddhist lion knop with one ear replaced
