Condition

This early print, on matte double-weight gelatin silver paper, is in generally very good condition. The upper left corner is lightly creased, and the margin corners are bumped and lifting slightly. There is a small rust-colored deposit of indeterminate nature in the upper left quadrant of the image. The reverse of the print is heavily soiled from handling. There are a few small abrasions on the reverse, as well as adhesive remnants. Written in an unidentified hand on the reverse of the print are the following: 'actual size' and 'page 81' in pencil; and '680' in blue crayon.
