Condition

Overall fair condition; the surface to the chest in distressed condition with areas of losses and inpainting throughout though appearing to maintain much of the original japanned surface; lock plates replaced; handles possibly later. The stand probably later making use of old drawers and other elements; the drawers appear to maintain much of the original japanned surface; the stand with some losses and chips to decoration; the top cornice also a later addition.
