Condition
Overall in very good original condition. The leather surface of the footstool with scattered minor crazing, losses to finish, rubbing and isolated areas of dryness. With some minor tears to the leather which break the surface of the leather, concentrated to the ears and horns of the work. Minor surface scratches throughout. The piece has acquired a beautiful patina and the condition issues present in this work are consistent with age and use.
The dog which is being sold along with the Rhinoceros, showing crazing, surface scratches, minor tears. The ear of the dog is partially detached presently, and would benefit from sensitive restoration.
