finely painted with a continuous band of colorful summer flowers and leaves below a gilt foliate border around the rim, above the burnished body tooled with fruiting vine motifs, the flared foot with a tooled border of alternating pendant grapes and stiff leaves, set on a gilt square plinth, shield mark in underglaze-blue, gilder's mark iii, impressed date codes 816 and 817 to base of vase.

Condition
Minor occasional wear to gilding, especially on the rim; occasional minor scratches. There is an approximate 1-inch area below the flower band, where the glaze is scratched.
