Catalogue Note

A set of four of these vases by Scott & Smith, 1806, is in the Royal Collection.  The Prince of Wales also acquired a set of eight, 1808-09; Rundell's described them as "very elegant" in 1811, when they cost £376 (London: The Queen's Gallery, 1991. Carlton House: The Past Glories of George IV's Palace, no. 94).
