Catalogue Note
One crest is that of Welstead, probably for George Welstead, 1829, whose obituary appears in the The Gentleman's Magazine, pt.2, p.476. He was described then as a former commander of the East India Company. Welstead died at his brother's house in Essex on 4 November 1829.
