opening to a red velvet-lined interior, the lock by Bramah.
Condition
Overall in good condition. Tarnishing to gilt bronze. Chips, dents and scratches to ebony veneer consistent with age and use. Two sections of veneer replaced on lower moulding of lid, to the proper left side and four inches on the back. The pietre dure panel of the lid with a visible filling restoration to plume of bird, the restoration is approximately 1/4 of an inch square. To the back pietre dure panel: visible filler restoration to two petals.
