the wooden casket overlaid in ivory and mounted with enamel and gem-set panels of warrior figures and vertus in niches, lapis mosiac columns at the corners, topped by a leopard-drawn triumphal chariot above a clock, central doors opening to reveal drawers
Condition
age cracks to ivory, some rubbing to enamel, particularly white enamel faces, shaft on chariot broken and with old glue, otherwise good condition, impressive design and no mounts missing
