the central engraved ivory panel with a scene of Aurora leading Apollo, after the painting by Guido Reni, the tabletop surrounded by an ivory inlay banding with scrolled vine and acanthus leaves, centaurs and nymphs, the four corners with portrait medallions of mythological deities including Hermes and Hercules, the frieze fitted with a long drawer and decorated with scrolls, fantasy creatures and cupids.

Condition

Overall in good condition with the usual minor scratches, dents and nicks to veneers and carcass consistent with age and use. Age cracks to ivory throughout with some wear to engraving, sometimes making it difficult to see the engraved designs.
