the lid surmounted by a figure of Alexander the Great standing triumphant, the body carved with the battle scene and the capturing of the flag, the mounts embossed with foliate designs, struck with German pseudo-hallmarks.
Condition
Overall in good original condition. The ivory with some minor yellow-toned staining, and the silver with the usual tarnishing, both consistent with age and environmental effects.
