the lid sumounted by the kneeling Alexander the Great in full army regalia, the body carved in the round with a battle scene including Alexander's horse Bucephalus and charging bulls, the mounts embossed with war trophies, struck with German pseudo-hallmarks.

Condition

Overall in good condition. The handle is made of two parts which are not properly aligned. Some minor yellow-toned staining, consistent with age and environmental effects. Traces of old varnish in places. Dirt in crevices consistent with age and use. No major apparent losses or chips. The silver with the usual tarnishing from environmental effects.
