  • 50 cm
the lid surmounted by Apollo riding Pegasus, the body carved in the round with Ceres and Bacchus seated on a chariot drawn by lions and followed by a Bacchic retinue, the base with four lion masks set on four scrolled shell feet. 

Condition

Overall in good condition. Minor yellowing and vertical hairline cracks filled with dirt in places, consistent with age and environmental effects. Pegasus' proper right wing shows traces of glue. Finely carved.
