Description

  • silk, cotton, linen and metal braid and glass
  • various measurements
including various lengths and widths of lace ribbon to accessorise garments and textiles, predominantly in white tones, and a few examples of black lace and 19th century chemical lace, with a small amount of metal-lace braid, monogrammed handkerchiefs and some lace collars, lappets and sleeve ruffles, together with a some small garments, including a lace night jacket (Qty) 

Condition

Generally good condition. There are ten monogrammed handkerchiefs all with different lace edging, and come variation to monograms. The other monogrammed piece within this lot is a piece of bed-linen (double cover with small buttons along one edge, and four-sided lace edging - cushion cover or for use as coverlet), with embroidered whitework coat-of-arms . All within a 19th century metal box.
