  • 98cm. 38½in. high
the bell striking movement with revolving hour and minute rings contained in a star studded sphere with an ormolu socle on a verdi antico marble column with a plinth of berried laurel signed Manière à Paris, flanked by the standing figure of Chronos and a seated female figure, books and a pair of compasses between them on a griotte marble base applied with signs of the Zodiac within star-shaped reserves and raised on winged lion's paw feet,

Condition

Gilt numerals to globe have been re-touched. Good patination to bronzes, ormolu a little dirty but appears to be in good condition. Minor chips and some old repairs to edges of marble, one star and two Zodiac symbols missing from left side of plinth. With pendulum and a winder.
