Condition
The canvas has been relined. There are no signs of retouching visible under ultraviolet light. There is some fine craquelure, notably in the middle ground beneath the cattle, and a tiny spot of paint flaking in the lower left. Held in an elaborate gold-painted carved wood and plaster frame.
