Condition

There is a minor crease in the board at the extreme lower edge and a 5cm vertical scuff above her head, with some possible retouching directly above her seat back, and some light surface dirt. Held in a simple gold-painted carved wood frame.

Maria Carolina Countess of Montemolin (1820-1861) was a daughter of Francis I of the Two Sicilies and his second wife, Maria Isabella of Spain. She married Carlos Count of Montemolin in 1850.
