Condition

This print, trimmed to the image and on paper with a surface sheen, is in generally good to very good condition. This print is mounted to sturdy board. Above the sitter's fingers is a small crease that breaks the emulsion, which likely occurred prior to dry-mounting. Upon close examination in raking light, the following are visible: faint silvering; some scratches and impressions, most of which do not appear to break the emulsion; a 3/4-inch stray ink mark along the right edge; and a few tiny light rust-colored deposits of indeterminate nature in the upper right quadrant. There is a tack hole near the upper edge of the image, and there is minor edge chipping. When examined under ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce.
