- printing-out-paper
2 printing-out-paper prints, comprising 'Beet Globe' and 'Pea Ideal,' each initialed and titled in pencil on the reverse, framed, circa 1900 (2)
Condition
These luminous early prints, on double-weight printing-out-paper with characteristic heavy glossy surface, are in generally very good to excellent condition. Each print has been affixed to a modern textured mount. The reverse of each mount has a window for viewing the reverse of the photograph.
'Pea Ideal' - The edges are somewhat rubbed, and the corners are bumped. When examined closely, there are few tiny deposits of original retouching that appear to have darkened to a somewhat greenish hue. On the reverse of the print, there are 2 small rice-paper-tape hinge remnants. Also on the reverse are a few faint rust-colored deposits of indeterminate nature.
'Beet Globe' - A few small deposits of original retouching are visible upon close examination. The left and right print edges appear to have faded ever-so-slightly. The print corners are bumped. On the reverse of the frame, there is a Serge Sorokko Gallery, San Francisco, label, with information in ink.
